This afternoon offers Spring Beauties, Trees of Ashland guided tour by arborist/naturalist on, and delicious delights and cocktails by Harriet Dupree Bradley, CEO Dupree Catering, on her own front porch overlooking Ashland. $30 per person/$25 Friends & Henry Clay Society Members

1 – Gardens of Ashland and Ashwood 2 to 5 pm -Tour the Peony and Formal Gardens of Ashland and some of the most beautiful gardens on Ashwood Road. Peony Sale, refreshments, and a professional photographer will be available for Mother’s Day portraits in Ashland’s peony garden. $10 per person/ $8 Friends & Henry Clay Society Members / Children FREE
21 – Native American Culture Celebration at Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate – Celebration of the conservati0n and inaugural exhibition of two items given to Henry Clay by Native Americans. Featuring demonstrations and performances by Native Americans. 11am-3pm. $3 adults/$ 1 craft fee for children.

18 – Annual Ashland Lawn Party / 6pm

24 – The Role of Speaker of the House, “A Tribute to Henry Clay”. An historic conversation with current Speaker, John Boehner and former Speakers of the House, Pelosi, Hastert and Wright: to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of Henry Clay as Speaker. 7:30 pm at Haggin Auditorium on the campus of Transylvania University. 25 – The Christmas Season Begins – Ashland will be beautifuly decorated for the season from Friday, November 25 through Friday, December 30. Special seasonal merchandise will be available in the Museum Store. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Ashland at this special time of year.

4 Lighting on the Lawn. Perhaps the largest, lit, living tree in the U.S. For th efirst time, a 100 year old, 100foot tall Norway Spruce will be lighted- with thousands of lights! Event begins at 5pm. Music and sing-alongs, free to the community. Immediately following at 5:30 is an Open House of the decorated mansion. This year’s theme, “A Dickens Christmas at Ashland”, includes live muisc and refrreshments. Adults $15; children under 12 – $5. Last entry into the mansion is at 7:30.
